Wow, with the cold weather there have been some serious fires! And it still amazes me when the firefighters fearlessly run to the fires to help people and try to save lives. There are professional full time people and professional part time volunteers. The fiery terror of a fire makes all their efforts all the more amazing! Are you, or do you know a firefighter? Are there any other occupations that you think are deserving of praise? Lets join together and applaud and appreciate their efforts and courage

 These wonderful men do so many wonderful things like putting out horrendous fires, saving people and animals. They so need to be recognized daily for all they do. I hope today is a great start to your week Pal..

 Firefighters are AWESOME, but my response to the question you asked.

Instead, I am quoting, verbatim, from an Australian member of an international FB group I belong to: "I survived the devastating flooding in Townsville Australia. It's a national catastrophic disaster. My suburb was the worst hit in 20000 homes and I lost absolutely everything. They opened the dam on 2000m3 of water coming a second and destroyed a couple of suburbs for the sake of saving an entire city of destruction. I was rescued with nothing but 4 undies 3 tshirts and 2 shorts and my two beloved dogs. What I learnt is life is precious. Create memories because physical memories can be wiped in a heart beat because you should make mental ones. I am.blessed I was insured."

1st they were suffering from the worst heat wave in history, and 2nd they were intentionally flooded. It's incomprehensible.

Mother Nature can be cruel. I wish people would "wake up" to the fact that Global Warming is a Real Issue. We can likely never undo what we have allowed to happen - but we can certainly stop it from becoming worse.
